Job Description:
Sam’s Club Sr. Customer Manager serves as the face of the company to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, unlocking mutual profitable growth for Mars and our retail partners. This role is responsible for leading the development and execution of key account strategies for Sam’s Club across our Immediate and Future Consumption product portfolios.
What are we looking for?
- 3+ years of demonstrable experience in building collaborative partnerships with retail customers and internal sales stakeholders.
- Direct selling and category experience across retailers, with the ability to develop and execute multi-year growth strategies.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to distill complex data into simple, impactful stories that influence customer strategies.
- Fluent understanding of forecasting, Nielsen/Madrid/Scintilla, and trade management systems.
- Demonstrated bias for action.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Create and execute customer solutions for profitable sales growth, including seasonal shelving, merchandising, and pricing, aligning with customer objectives, category leadership, and company goals.
- Influence customers to implement solutions through fact-based presentations that deliver mutually beneficial results.
- Execute all agreed-upon solutions with customers, including accurate forecasting and detailed follow-through.
- Manage customer trade funds in compliance with internal and external requirements, continually improving spending effectiveness.
- Provide customers with category insights and recommendations for growth, incorporating customer feedback and potential solutions.
- Lead cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and collaborate on solutions.
- Leverage complex data sources to influence internal and external stakeholder decisions.
