Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking an experienced Flight Operations Analyst in Memphis, TN to develop safe, legal, reliable and cost-efficient trip pairings, bid lines, and monthly schedules for FedEx pilots, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, the CBA, and company policies. You will analyze outputs from automated systems and report trends to improve operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aviation, business or a quantitative discipline.
• Six (6) years related experience in flight operations with statistics, modeling or computing.
• Experience with computerized management information systems (MIS) and PC applications.

Responsibilities

• Meets KPI objectives set by management and ensures department targets are achieved.
• Monitors software applications used by the department for peak performance and reports defects.
• Assists in writing requirements to enhance software applications and tests releases.
• Provides business expertise to management and individual contributors.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job description

Develops safe, legal, reliable and cost-efficient trip pairings, bid lines, and monthly schedules for use by FedEx pilots that are in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, the Collective Bargaining Agreement, and Company policies and procedures. Provides statistical, comparative, and trend analysis of the output produced by the automated systems used by the department.

Essential Functions

• Ensures the department is meeting KPI objectives set by management.
• Monitors the software applications used by the department to ensure they are operating at peak efficiency and report any known defects to appropriate personnel.
• Assists in writing requirements to enhance software applications and testing new software releases.
• Provides Business Expertise To Management And Individual Contributors.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree/equivalent in aviation, business or a quantitative discipline.

Minimum Experience

Six (6) years related experience in a flight operations environment to include, statistical analysis, modeling or computer applications.

Experience in the use of computerized management information systems, Including integrated PC applications.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Knowledge of FARS relating to pilot flight & duty times.
• Knowledge of pilot work rules.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Additional Details

The desired location for this position is Memphis, TN (MEM) location. Employees will be required to work at the FedEx location five days a week.
