Job Summary:

• Assist in developing and implementing requirements for cost recording, reporting, and analyzing standards, programs, and reports.
• Assist in preparing cost data for projects, proposals, and contract negotiations.
• Manage scope changes effectively.
• Determine scope definition requirements for a discipline or specialty and coordinate with Engineering and other sources to produce the required data for estimate preparation.
• Develop quantity takeoffs for disciplines or specialties using defined documents or assumptions; verify quantities provided by others.
• Apply unit rates (cost and job hours) to quantity takeoffs and other developed quantities within a discipline or specialty.
• Prepare specific budgets following prescribed standards and procedures.
• Coordinate and prepare cost reports.
• Collect, classify, and analyze cost engineering data.
• Perform data analysis and development.
• Perform any additional duties as directed by the Project Manager, Supervisor, or Manager.
• Candidate must be a US Citizen.
• Knowledge of capital and services cost.
• Understanding of scope change management.
• Intermediate knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup processes.
• Proficiency in multiple discipline-specific software applications.
• Skill in identifying, analyzing, and providing innovative solutions to cost problems.
• Knowledge of financial reporting systems, controller account codes, and understanding of Controller instructions impacting Project Controls, including Project Financial Status Reports and Earned Revenue Data.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, with 7-10 years of relevant industry experience.
• Proficiency in basic software applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Leadership and organizational skills.
• Cost engineering or project management certification is preferred; if not current, eligibility to attain within one year is required.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Wiesbaden, Germany.

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:

• Work is typically performed in a remote, office environment.
• Prolonged sitting and standing.
• Walking and climbing on construction sites may be involved.
• Occasional travel to Wiesbaden, Germany.
