Job summary

LeoForce in Philipsburg, PA is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join our manufacturing team. This permanent, full-time role focuses on financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control to strengthen our bottom line.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in cost accounting, experience with inventory control, GAAP, and bright analytical skills. A Bachelor's in accounting/finance is required; CPA or advanced degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of cost accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, GL, reconciliation, variance analysis, inventory control, and cost analysis.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost and inventory analysis.
• CPA or advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to support strategic decisions.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a regular basis.
• Conduct variance analysis to understand budget vs. actual differences.
• Oversee inventory control and conduct inventory analysis to optimize stock levels.
• Perform cost and manufacturing cost analyses to identify cost reductions and efficiency improvements.
• Prepare, review, and distribute monthly financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with financial accounting standards and company policies.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve reporting.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
