Job description

We're looking for a content strategist who understands that great content marketing isn't a stream of posts. It's a system that turns a company's expertise into audience, pipeline, and category authority.

You'll set the editorial direction for our clients' owned content programs, then execute on it. You know what to publish, why, where it lives, how it gets found, how it moves people through a funnel, and how to measure whether any of it is working. You'll work closely with the HAUS marketing and PR teams to build content engines that establish our deep tech clients as the definitive voices in their fields: reaching investors, customers, engineers, and operators through channels they actually own.

  • Build content marketing strategies for early-stage and growth-stage deep tech clients, grounded in their business goals, buyer journey, and competitive position.
  • Develop editorial calendars and content roadmaps that connect individual pieces to a larger narrative arc; not one-off posts, but programs that compound.
  • Identify the topics, formats, and distribution channels that will actually move the needle for each client, and cut the ones that won't.
  • Recommend the right owned channel mix: blog, newsletter, case studies, etc. that will most effectively drive the audience engagement the client is looking for.
  • Develop content taxonomies, pillar-and-cluster structures, and SEO strategies that build durable organic presence over time.
Role & Responsibilities

We're looking for a content strategist who understands that great content marketing isn't a stream of posts. It's a system that turns a company's expertise into audience, pipeline, and category authority.

You'll set the editorial direction for our clients' owned content programs, then execute on it. You know what to publish, why, where it lives, how it gets found, how it moves people through a funnel, and how to measure whether any of it is working. You'll work closely with the HAUS marketing and PR teams to build content engines that establish our deep tech clients as the definitive voices in their fields: reaching investors, customers, engineers, and operators through channels they actually own.

Strategy
Execution
  • Write and edit the full range of owned content: blog posts, case studies, whitepapers, ebooks, landing pages, newsletters, product narratives, and long-form explainers.
  • Translate highly technical subject matter — AI, aerospace, biotech, quantum, defense, and more — into rigorous, authoritative narratives that respect reader intelligence.
  • Conduct and synthesize interviews with founders, scientists, and subject-matter experts to surface original insights and shape distinctive points of view.
  • Turn customer stories into case studies that sell; the kind sales teams use in deals, not that live unread in a resources tab.
  • Maintain consistent voice and editorial standards across multiple simultaneous client accounts.
  • Iterate quickly based on internal and client feedback, maintaining quality under tight timelines.
Distribution & results
  • Own the distribution plan for every piece: SEO, newsletter, social, community, syndication, sales enablement. Publishing is the middle of the workflow, not the end.
  • Partner with our social and PR teams to make sure owned content gets pulled through every relevant channel and amplified.
  • Track how content performs — traffic, engagement, organic rankings, subscriber growth, pipeline influence — and use what you learn to inform what you make next.
  • Report on results in ways that connect to client business outcomes, not vanity metrics.
Standards
  • Use AI tools thoughtfully where they accelerate good work (research synthesis, structural drafting, ideation) while owning every word that goes out the door. We have zero tolerance for AI slop.
  • Maintain the editorial bar across everything you touch. If it's not worth publishing, don't publish it.
Requirements
  • 6-8 years of content marketing experience with a strong portfolio of owned content for B2B technology startups especially blog posts, case studies, whitepapers, and newsletters.
  • Demonstrated ability to build a content strategy from scratch, not just execute against someone else's brief.
  • Working understanding of SEO, content distribution, and how owned content connects to pipeline and growth.
  • Fluency with content analytics: you can look at performance data and make the next decision.
  • Demonstrable ability to develop a point of view, not just summarize information.
  • Strong editorial judgment; you know what makes a piece worth publishing and what doesn't.
  • Excellent command of English with rigorous attention to voice, tone, clarity, and structure.
  • A discerning eye for AI slop and the discipline to never let it ship under your name.
  • Skilled at interviewing founders and technical experts to extract substantive material.
  • Comfortable managing editorial work across multiple accounts simultaneously under competing deadlines.
  • Strong self-direction: you take briefs and run, asking the right questions upfront.
Preferences
  • Background or demonstrated interest in science, engineering, or emerging technology.
  • Experience running content marketing in-house at a B2B tech startup, not just agency-side.
  • Experience building a newsletter, resource hub, or content-driven organic channel from zero to real audience.
  • Familiarity with the venture capital ecosystem and how founders communicate with investors, customers, and technical audiences.
  • Experience with content ops tooling: CMS platforms, SEO tools (Ahrefs, Semrush), analytics, marketing automation.
  • Experience working within an integrated creative or communications agency environment.
  • A clear philosophy on where AI belongs in editorial workflows and where it doesn't.
  • Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
