BOK Financial Corporation is seeking a Sr Consumer Communications Specialist to lead employee communications for the Consumer Banking division. You will plan messages and manage channels across newsletters, intranet, and other internal platforms, collaborating with middle management to support division goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Marketing, or Communications emphasis and 3+ years in public relations, marketing or communications and community relations; or equivalent education/experience.
  • Consumer banking experience preferred.
  • Excellent writing skills with ability to research stories, develop narrative, and produce finished product.
  • Knowledge of AP-style copywriting and editing.
  • Strong ability to communicate complicated concepts in simple terms.
  • Strong organization and planning skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Communications, Journalism and Public Relations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Excellent PC and software application skills (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Familiarity with supporting software (Photoshop, InDesign, FrontPage).
  • Comfort with business and financial concepts.

Job Description

The Sr Consumer Communications Specialist is primarily responsible for planning employee communications and managing communication channels for the Consumer Banking division of BOK Financial. This includes the development of communication messages that will be used for internal audiences that align with, support and enhance the goals and objectives of BOK Financial and the Consumer Banking division; sources and creates content that will be distributed to Consumer division employees in a variety of channels including the division’s weekly employee newsletters, companywide intranet site, and other channels as designed. Works closely with middle management in the Consumer division in the development and management of communication content. Works with various Consumer Banking stakeholders to support ongoing projects, initiatives and special events. Provides support in managing numerous company and department systems such as the intranet‑based employee newsletter and other platforms.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, or Communications emphasis and 3+ years previous experience in public relations, marketing or communications and community relations; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Consumer banking experience preferred.
