Lockton Companies seeks an IAS Senior Consultant to provide technical and operational support in Integrated Absence Solutions. The role focuses on expertise in absence management, regulatory guidance (FMLA, ADA), and end-to-end program implementation.

The candidate will lead complex client engagements, manage cross-functional teams, and stay ahead of regulatory changes to minimize risk and improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 6+ years of experience in absence management, benefits consulting, or HR, with complex client engagements.
• Deep knowledge of federal, state, and local leave regulations (FMLA, ADA).
• Experience guiding teams through marketing and renewal negotiations for complex clients.
• Ability to present client strategy for paid sick leave compliance.
• Strong project management and multitasking abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with HRIS or absence management systems (Workday, ADP).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Legal right to work in the United States.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partner with senior-level client stakeholders to assess their absence management needs and design tailored solutions.
• Provide expert guidance on complex federal, state, and local leave regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, state-specific leave laws).
• Serve as a subject matter expert, advising clients on best practices and emerging trends in absence management.
• Lead the end-to-end implementation of integrated absence programs, ensuring alignment with client objectives and organizational goals.
• Oversee the operational delivery of absence programs, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and high-quality service.
• Manage cross-functional teams and third-party vendors to execute projects on time and within budget.
• Stay abreast of regulatory changes and proactively address potential compliance risks for clients.
• Develop strategies to mitigate risks associated with absence program administration and ensure adherence to legal requirements.
• Analyze complex program data to identify trends, evaluate performance, and recommend enhancements.
• Deliver actionable insights and strategic recommendations to improve program outcomes and efficiency.
• Prepare and present comprehensive reports and dashboards for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Lead the resolution of escalated client issues, ensuring timely and satisfactory outcomes.
• Address root causes of recurring challenges and implement sustainable solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior consultants and team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
• Contribute to the development of internal knowledge-sharing and training programs.
• Identify opportunities to enhance internal processes, tools, and methodologies to improve service delivery.
• Collaborate with internal teams to drive innovation and efficiency in absence management practices.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 6+ years of experience in absence management, benefits consulting, or human resources, with a proven track record of managing complex client engagements.
• Deep knowledge of federal, state, and local leave regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA).
• Provides peer review, oversight and support to team through the marketing and renewal negotiation process for complex clients.
• Presents Federal and State IAS Compliance Screening without support.
• Ability to develop and present client strategy for paid sick leave compliance.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-impact initiatives simultaneously.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience with HRIS or absence management systems (e.g., Workday, ADP).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Legal right to work in the United States.
