Role Description:

As a Senior Consultant, Data Engineer at Hakkoda, you are more than just a builder—you are a trusted advisor, leading technical teams in designing and developing cutting-edge cloud data solutions, including Snowflake. You will partner with clients to architect and optimize data pipelines, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing data environments. Your expertise in data migration, governance, and architecture will drive meaningful transformation for data-driven organizations. What We Are Looking For:

We are currently hiring for the position of Sr. Consultant Data Engineer to join our expanding team of experts. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and developing solutions within the Snowflake Data Cloud environment. Responsibilities encompass data ingestion pipelines, data architecture, data governance, and security. The ideal candidate thrives on optimizing data systems and enjoys the challenge of building them from the ground up.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent area.
• 5+ years in related technical roles, data management, database development, ETL, Data Warehouses and pipelines.
• Experience designing and developing data warehouses (Teradata, Oracle Exadata, Netezza, SQL Server, Spark).
• Experience building ETL / ELT ingestion pipelines with tools like DataStage, Informatica, Matillion.
• SQL scripting.
• Expertise in leading documentation initiatives, ensuring all aspects of data engineering projects are thoroughly documented, from initial design to deployment and maintenance.
• Leadership in establishing documentation standards and practices, mentoring teams in effective communication and documentation strategies, and enhancing client enablement through educational materials.
• Cloud experience on AWS (Azure, GCP are nice to have as well).
• Python Scripting, SQL is required.
• Ability to prepare reports and present to internal and customer stakeholders.
• Track record of sound problem solving skills and action oriented mindset. Strong interpersonal skills including assertiveness and ability to build strong client relationships.
• Ability to work in Agile teams.
• Experience hiring, developing and managing a technical team.
• Advanced English.
