The Vertex Companies, LLC is seeking a Senior Construction Estimation Expert to provide expert litigation support for construction defect cases. You will develop cost of repair estimates, testify as an expert witness, and manage multiple client matters across residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

Remote work is available with travel as needed. You should have a Bachelor's degree with extensive related experience or a Master's with leadership background, plus proficiency in estimating

Formación

• Bachelor's degree and 15 years of related experience or a Master's degree and 12 years of related experience, with 7+ years in a leadership role with significant impact.
• Prior experience as testifying Expert Witness in front of a court or arbitration for construction damages or cost related cases required.
• Working knowledge of readi ng and interpreting construction drawings and performing cost estimating for various structures.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare cost estimates for scopes of work such as cladding, framing, foundation, and MEP.
• Testify as an expert witness in court/arbitration on damages and repair costs.
• Coordinate with project teams to deliver accurate, defendable cost analyses.
• Review plans, documents, and contracts to allocate costs.
• Attend site inspections and perform quantity takeoffs for accuracy.
• Utilize pricing databases to determine unit costs for repairs.
• Produce expert reports detailing strategies and cost allocations.
• Monitor data related to performance, deadlines, and timesheets.
