Job summary

The Vertex Companies, LLC seeks a Senior Construction Contract Disputes Expert with extensive experience testifying as an Expert Witness on complex disputes across residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects. You will lead analysis, reporting, and testimony supporting high-stakes claims.

We expect a track record of managing end-to-end dispute work, exceptional client communication, and the ability to drive high-quality outcomes while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 15+ years' related experience or Master's with 12+ years.
• Leadership experience with 7+ years impact.
• Testifying Expert Witness experience required.

Responsibilities

• Testify as an expert witness regarding construction damages and standard of care.
• Write expert reports for contract dispute matters.
• Analyze construction plans, documents, emails, payment applications, job cost reports, and contracts to quantify damages.
• Cost estimating and construction forensics (e.g., termination consequences).
• Attend site inspections to document observable conditions.
• Collaborate with team to finalize high quality opinions/reports.
• Fully manage assignments from client call to submission and testimony.
• Support MD in monitoring data related to performance, utilization, and deadlines.
• Travel as necessary to support client and leadership needs.
• Perform quality control of all projects and self-generated work.
