Job summary

Bank of America in Jacksonville seeks a senior QA professional to join the Quality Assurance teams within Global Credit Operations. You will ensure standard testing practices are followed, mentor junior staff, and provide technical guidance to project managers on critical issues.

The role requires 5–7 years of QA experience, expertise across functional, integration, regression and UAT testing, and hands-on use of JIRA or ALM.

Key individual contributor to Quality Assurance (QA) project teams within T&O and/or lines of business. Works with project teams to ensure standard quality practices/processes are followed. As a senior member of the technical staff, assists senior business and IT management in determining the direction of current and future developments in area of expertise. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of technological alternatives and business system requirements to recommend innovations that enhance and/or provide a competitive advantage to the organization. Provides feedback and technical guidance to project managers on issues of critical importance to achieving business objectives. Is clearly recognized as a content expert by peers. Typically requires 5-7 years of applicable experience.

LOB Description: GCO (Global Credit Operations)

Responsible for the fulfillment, servicing and protection of credit offerings for business banking, Global Wealth & Investment Management (GWIM), commercial and corporate clients as well as leasing and trade products.

Minimum Requirements

• Trade Finance domain experience: Letters of Credit, Guarantees, Trade Operations, Trade Processing
• Lead end-to-end testing efforts supporting Trade Finance initiatives.
• Develop comprehensive test strategies, and test cases for initiatives.
• Identify, document, track, and validate defect resolution using approved defect management tools.
• Analyze business requirements, process flows, APIs, and data mappings to ensure complete test coverage.
• Support release validation, production verification testing, and post-implementation monitoring.
• Ensure traceability between business requirements, test scenarios, test cases, and defects.
• Support audit, risk, and regulatory requirements by maintaining complete testing evidence and documentation.
• Mentor junior QA associates and provide testing leadership across multiple concurrent projects.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.

Skills

• Strong experience creating test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test execution metrics.
• Experience supporting Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies..
• Hands-on experience with JIRA, Octane/ALM, or other test management tools.
• Partner with Product Managers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, Technology teams, and business stakeholders to validate requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into testable scenarios.
• Experience performing Functional, Integration, Regression, and UAT testing.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate across business and technology organizations.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced delivery environment.

Desired Skills

• Loan IQ experience, including testing of Trade Finance and Commercial Lending functionality.
• Execute and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Ability to lead offshore/onshore testing coordination activities.
• Experience working in Banking, Financial Services, Commercial Lending, or Treasury/Trade environments.
