Job summary

Centurum is seeking an experienced Communications Electronics Technician for our NAS Pax River, MD team, supporting US Navy programs.

You will assist in building, integrating, testing, and validating RF subsystems, maintain lab communications systems, and handle cryptographic materials. Travel up to 25% is required, with a secret clearance and potential to obtain DoD TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience with SHF, UHF, and HF Communications systems.
• Strong knowledge of building, integrating, and testing communications systems.
• Experience with Installation Requirement Drawings packages, Operations and Maintenance Manuals, System Operation Verification Test, and User Manuals.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Communications Electronics Technician supporting government technical lead for US Navy programs.
• Assist the technical lead to build, integrate, test, and provide engineering, verification, and validation of RF Communication subsystem upgrades for US Navy systems.
• Provide technical support of HF, SHF, SAT, and VHF/UHF voice and digital radio systems.
• Update program documentation and procedures (IRD, IDP, SOVT, FIT, PITCO, FRCB).
• Install software on computers using Installation Guides.
• Maintain laboratory hardware communications systems.
• Handle and load cryptographic material.
• Support an integrated logistics team to update inventories and prepare hardware system pack-outs for shipment.
