Job summary

Centurum is seeking an experienced Communications Electronics Technician for NAS Pax River, MD to support US Navy programs. The role involves building, integrating, testing, and validating RF subsystems for Navy systems.

Required are 10+ years in SHF/UHF/HF communications, strong documentation skills, ability to travel up to 25%, and a Secret clearance with potential to obtain a DoD TS/SCI clearance. On-site work at Pax River, MD.

• Handle and load cryptographic material; support logistics in inventories and shipments.

Job description

Centurum is seeking an experienced Communications Electronics Technician for our team. This role is critical to our US Navy program’s mission.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serve as a Communications Electronics Technician in support of government technical lead for US Navy programs.
• Assist the technical lead to build, integrate, test, and provide engineering, verification, and validation of RF Communication subsystem upgrades for US Navy systems.
• Provide technical support of HF, SHF, SAT, and VHF/UHF voice and digital radio systems.
• Update program documentation and procedures (e.g., IRD, IDP, SOVT, FIT, PITCO, and FRCB processes).
• Install software on computers using provided Installation Guides.
• Familiar with software updates, IA scanning and monthly updates.
• Maintain laboratory hardware communications systems.
• Handling and loading cryptographic material.
• Support an integrated logistics team to update inventories, track procurements, and prepare hardware system pack-outs for shipment.

REQUIRED SKILLS/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience with SHF, UHF, and HF Communications systems.
• Technical knowledge in building, integrating, and testing communications systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills in preparing Installation Requirement Drawings packages, Operations and Maintenance Manuals, System Operation Verification Test, and User Manuals.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
• Secret clearance required, with the ability to obtain a DOD TS/SCI Security Clearance.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Prior experience with Navy radio systems.

REMARKS:

Compensation: 80K to 90K annually
