You will travel to project sites, perform tests, safety checks, and coordinate with engineers to ensure successful commissioning of energy storage systems. Responsibilities

• Commission BESS sites using SolBank Storage Power Block as part of a team.
• Perform safety checks, inspections, and functional tests.
• Test network connectivity and perform point-to-point tests of field devices.
• Manage commissioning checklists and update issues list daily.
• Provide on-site diagnostic, troubleshooting, and hands-on support.
• Supervise subcontractors on-site as needed.
• Assist with testing documentation and test reports.

The successful candidate must be able and willing to travel and complete tasks at various project sites throughout the country and, on occasion, internationally. Experience with BESS or renewable power generation equipment in a commissioning or service environment is required. This role is expected to spend over 75% of their time at project sites in Texas, Arizona, California, and others as needed.Responsibilities:Commission BESS sites using CSI Energy Storage’s Solbank Storage Power Block as part of a commissioning teamPerform tasks assigned by the commissioning manager and engineer, such as safety system checks, installation inspections, and functional testsSupport the commissioning of the overall control system by testing the network connectivity of all field devices and performing point-to-point testsPerform daily routine tasks such as executing commissioning checklists, reviewing and updating the issues list, and helping to monitor the performance of commissioned assetsProvide on-site diagnostic, troubleshooting, and hands-on supportSupervise subcontractors on-site where requiredAssist with the completion of testing documentation and preparation of test reports in a timely mannerEnsure proper LOTO and switching procedures are observed as requiredSupport client and operation and maintenance contractor training during and after commissioningRequired Qualifications and Skills:Educational background in Engineering or a related fieldAt least 3 years of relevant experience in commissioning and/or systems engineering within the renewable energy sectorHands-on experience in battery storage systems, medium voltage stations, and/or related products/systemsPrevious experience with a CMMS software program preferredHands-on experience in system engineering and a solid understanding of related regulatory standards, including NEC/UL code complianceProficient in MV Electrical Installations, Ampacity Calculations, Short circuit/load flow, Protective Device Coordination, Arc Flash, Grounding per IEEE80, and other relevant design topicsExcellent time management skills; able to balance multiple projects and prioritize a broad variety of issues, initiatives, and objectives concurrentlye-STORAGE is Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
