Job summary

CS e-Storage (US) Inc. is seeking a Service Technician to commission and maintain the SolBank Storage Power Block across US projects.

You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on BESS equipment, troubleshoot on-site, and work with subcontractors to keep systems available and within warranty requirements. The role requires at least 5 years in service, OSHA 30, SCADA experience, inverter knowledge, and the ability to travel 50%+; strong communication and safety focus; you will

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in a service environment, preferably in renewable energy.
• OSHA 30 certification (OSHA 10 accepted if obtained soon after hire).
• Training/knowledge of inverters.
• SCADA experience.
• Knowledge of general and national codes, medium voltage power systems, energy storage applications is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel).
• Experience with CMMS software.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• First Aid training an asset.
• Ability to travel regionally and nationwide; flexibility for 50%+ travel.

Responsibilities

• Commission CSI Energy Storage’s SolBank Storage Power Block.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of SPBs to meet warranty requirements.
• Travel to project sites across the US to service BESS equipment.
• Oversee subcontractors on-site as required.
• Assist in developing standard operating procedures and processes.
• Complete work order documentation in a timely manner.
• Manage spare parts inventory and LOTO/switching procedures.
• Provide onsite diagnostic, troubleshooting, and hands-on support.
• Support client training during commissioning and safety requirements.

The individual will also be responsible for completing obligations under Long Term Service Agreements (LTSA’s) of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. The successful candidate must be able to travel and complete tasks at various project sites throughout the US.
