King's Insurance Staffing client is expanding their underwriting team with a Field Commercial Casualty Production Underwriter for the Mid-Atlantic. This fully remote role includes a company car and focuses on underwriting and pricing new and renewal Commercial Casualty business in the E&S market.

You will visit producers, build relationships, and drive profitable growth in Maryland. The position requires 3–7+ years in Commercial Casualty underwriting; production underwriting/territory marketing

Qualifications

• 3-7+ years experience in Commercial Casualty underwriting.
• Experience underwriting non-admitted business is a plus.
• Must have Production Underwriting and/or Territory Marketing experience.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex risks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building producer relationships.

Responsabilités

• Assess risk acceptability, pricing, coverage, terms for complex surplus lines commercial casualty policies.
• Develop, analyze, and evaluate information to identify exposures and underwriting decisions.
• Visit producers / wholesale brokers.
• Build and maintain relationships with producers to support client retention and growth.
• Achieve production and loss ratio targets for the assigned regional territory.
• Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to drive new business opportunities.

Our client, a top-rated insurance carrier, is expanding their underwriting department and seeking to add a Field Commercial Casualty Production Underwriter to their Mid-Atlantic team. This person will be responsible for underwriting and pricing new and renewal Commercial Casualty business within the Excess & Surplus (E&S) market. Working closely with producers, this role focuses on soliciting new business, managing renewals, and ensuring underwriting profitability across the Maryland territory.

This is a fully remote position with a company-issued vehicle also available for personal use.

• Assess individual risk acceptability, pricing, coverage, terms, and conditions for complex surplus lines commercial casualty policies.
• Develop, analyze, and evaluate information to identify exposures and make well-informed underwriting decisions.
• Visit producers / wholesale brokers
• Build and maintain strong relationships with producers, assisting in client retention and achieving mutual business growth.
• Achieve established production and loss ratio targets for the assigned regional territory.
• Maintain awareness of market trends and competitive landscape to drive new business opportunities.

Qualifications:

• 3 - 7+ years experience in Commercial Casualty underwriting
• Experience underwriting non-admitted business is a plus.
• Must have Production Underwriting and/or Territory Marketing experience.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex risks.

• Bachelor’s degree highly preferred.

Salary/Benefits:

• $130,000 - $165,000+ annual base salary plus lucrative production bonus
