CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking a Cloud and Storage Engineer to develop and implement full-scale Storage Area Network (SAN) architecture for a large EMC-based SAN infrastructure supporting a federal agency. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment and produce standards and processes for storage configuration, optimization, replication, and security.

Responsibilities include:

1. Developing and implementing SAN architecture for complex, multi-site solutions with petabytes of storage capacity.
2. Considering performance, capacity, replication, disaster recovery, backup storage, and recovery in SAN design.
3. Setting strategic direction for SAN and backup environments.
4. Designing and deploying customer storage requirements into enterprise solutions.
5. Managing storage and backup capacity planning and reporting.
6. Creating standards and processes for storage configuration, optimization, and security.
7. Troubleshooting complex SAN issues and resolving them collaboratively.
8. Participating in maintenance and project execution on storage infrastructure.
9. Developing technical documentation, roadmaps, and cost models.
10. Ensuring 24/7 uptime of SAN infrastructure.
11. Architecting and maintaining private cloud and hybrid cloud environments, with preferred experience in Gov Cloud (AWS, Azure).
12. Performing security tasks such as vulnerability assessments, patch management, and audits.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or relevant discipline.
• Eight years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
• Significant experience with Dell EMC products including OneFS, SAN switches, storage arrays (Unity, Isilon, VNS, Data Domain), and RecoverPoint.
