Job summary

Holmes Murphy in Sioux Falls, SD, seeks a Sr. Client Service Consultant to join our Property Casualty team. You will lead the largest, most complex accounts and partner with clients to renew, negotiate with underwriters, and assess future insurance needs.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma; college degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years customer service, underwriting or risk management experience in the insurance industry.
  • Licensing: Active state specific Property Casualty Insurance agent’s license required or the ability to acquire license within three months of hire.
  • Technical Competencies: Understands insurance principles to consult with clients and meet strategic needs; uses agency systems to deliver client experience and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership and lead accounts by servicing the largest and most complex accounts; Client Service Specialist and Client Service Consultant support dependent upon account size.
  • Demonstrates exceptional customer service and partners with clients including market renewals and negotiations with underwriters; reviews and advises on client insurance needs; handles claims process support as requested.
  • Investigates or identifies resources to resolve complex insurance issues ensuring client and sales team satisfaction.
  • Maintains visibility with clients and builds lasting relationships through professional and technical expertise and understanding of client’s business needs.
  • Meet with team for pre-renewal meetings on assigned accounts and development of client opportunities.
  • Prepares client renewal reviews and applications, orders renewals and completes required documents.
  • Manages complex insurance plans including loss sensitive funding and loss forecasting.
  • Ensures account information and carrier documents are accurate and current.
