Job summary

Holmes Murphy in Minnesota is seeking a Sr. Claims Specialist to join our Property Casualty team. You will independently manage daily claims tasks, provide exceptional client service, and act as a trusted advocate for clients’ insurance interests.

A college degree or prior property casualty experience is preferred; licensing or ability to obtain license within three months is required.

Qualifications

  • Education: College degree or property casualty claims and insurance experience preferred.
  • Experience: 1-3 years career experience. Property and casualty claims, agency and/or insurance experience a plus.
  • Licensing: State-specific state commercial & personal property-casualty license required or ability to obtain within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage daily claims tasks.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service and act as partner with clients.
  • Consult, educate and assist clients with claims, including reporting, understanding coverage, and explaining claim processes.
  • Notify parties in litigated matters and ensure timely notice of new lawsuits.
  • Perform research and follow-up for clients on claims management issues and questions.
  • Handle day-to-day client questions and concerns.

The salary range for Minnesota is $60,200-$100,200. Compensation is based on several factors, including, but not limited to, education, work experience and industry certifications. In addition to your salary, Holmes Murphy offers a comprehensive total rewards program including annual bonuses, total wellbeing benefits and support for professional development.
