Job Summary: The Sr. Claims Assistant and Data Analyst primarily handles first report intake on incoming claim calls. They assist the claims team with routine clerical and administrative duties such as customer assistance, data processing, record keeping, and other tasks as assigned. This position is fully remote.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls and direct them as the first contact with the insured.
  • Provide First Call Resolution and problem-solving to deescalate calls.
  • Handle new loss claim intake and assist with incident file creation and correspondence.
  • Support claims team with various administrative tasks, including setting up claims, sending claim assignments and acknowledgment letters, and other duties as assigned.
  • Support data analysis activities.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of customer service and call center experience.
  • Basic insurance knowledge, including understanding policies and coverages.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly.
  • Clerical/administrative experience, proficiency in MS Office, typing 30-40 WPM.
  • Attention to detail, fast learner, strong communication skills.
  • High school diploma required; associate degree or higher preferred.

The expected salary range for this position is $50,000 to $55,000, influenced by skills, experience, location, and business line.
