Gray AES is looking to add a Senior Civil Engineer (PE Required) to our offices in Atlanta, GA; Birmingham, AL; Charlotte, NC; Cincinnati, OH; Lexington, KY; Louisville, KY; or St. Louis, MO.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
• Design and develop civil engineering plans for commercial and industrial facilities using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Hydrology Studio, and HEC-RAS.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies throughout project life cycles.
• Oversee permitting processes and ensure project adherence to schedules and budgets.
• Inspect ongoing construction to ensure quality and compliance with design specifications.
• Prepare site improvement plans, specifications, drainage reports, and cost estimates.
• Respond to site conflicts and provide technical guidance on design modifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and at least ten years of related experience.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license required.
• Proficiency in civil design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Hydrology Studio, and HEC-RAS.
• Experience managing projects through permitting and construction phases.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Willingness to work on-site with appropriate safety gear.
