J-U-B ENGINEERS, Inc. is seeking a Professional Engineer with a focus on agricultural irrigation and surface water, located in Kennewick, WA. The role involves planning, design, permitting, and construction administration for regional irrigation and municipal projects.

Collaboration with clients, agencies, and multidisciplinary teams is essential to deliver practical water infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate will have a P.E.

Qualifications

• Must hold a B.S. in Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or equivalent.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure in WA or OR, or eligible via reciprocity.
• 10–15+ years of civil engineering experience in irrigation, surface water, water, or wastewater.
• Knowledge of project permitting and regulatory processes.
• Strong technical, communication, and writing abilities.
• Proven ability to collaborate with clients, teams, and regulators.
• Leadership, project delivery, and mentoring experience.
• Experience with irrigation systems and agricultural infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead design across civil projects including irrigation, river intakes, lagoons, dams, and small water systems.
• Analyze data, prepare plans/specs, and support client challenges with sound engineering.
• Prepare memos, reports, drawings, and cost estimates for projects.
• Collaborate with the Kennewick Surface Water Resources Group and others to deliver designs.
• Coordinate permitting with regulatory agencies, including dam safety and in-water permits.
• Build relationships with clients, contractors, and partners throughout delivery.
• Organize stakeholder meetings and communicate engineering solutions effectively.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydraulic modeling tools for reports and presentations.
• Support project management activities like scope, budget, and schedule.
• Mentor junior staff and assist with business development efforts.
