Key Responsibilities (but Not Limited To)
- Responsible for managing Purchasing activities for Chawk USA factory to Assurance of Supply for the manufacturing operation. The candidate is expected to have strong management and leadership skills to grow and motivate direct and cross functional team. Must develop strong rapport with key suppliers, supply chain and cross functional management team.
- Manage Suppliers to ensure continuous factory supply, inventory management, cost saving and supplier quality from NPI, mass production to End of product life cycle.
- Evaluates and Support Raw material And OEM support for our sister factories as required
- Responsible for procurement and inventory management of difference product production, new product introduction (NPI) materials, life time supply of obsolete parts and/or non-production materials and /or services.
- Control of purchasing budgets, negotiation with suppliers to ensure delivery schedules are met per ERP Plan. Prepare ongoing essential reports/metrics for company executives are part of the job.
- Work with cross functional team including Global supply chain, Planning, manufacturing, engineering, production and logistic to meet KPI’s.
- Support execution of the sourcing strategy to meet the company’s business growth and sourcing requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong teamwork and leadership culture within the organization through Continuous Improvement and lean management system.
- Works on issues where analysis of situation or data requires review of relevant factors
- Ensure continuous knowledge enhancement and keeping abreast on supply chain trends.
- Have a Can Do and willing to take on new challenges attitude.
Qualifications/ Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent
- Minimum of 3-5 years Purchasing experience;
- Strong knowledge of Supply Chain Management
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills;
- Proficient in computer systems: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook;
- Background working for a manufacturing company preferably in the plastics or composites industries
- Calmness under pressure and maintain records in timely and accurate mode.
- Good decision-making and communication skill.
- Interest in helping and working with customers.
- Should have sound practical judgment of priorities.
- SAP, Oracle, Epicor experience.
- Required proven skills in leading/managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics.
- Effective and good team player who is able to adapt to fast- paced environment
