Plan the procurement of materials required to support customer demand and new product introduction, and develop and execute the business unit production schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and plan materials requirements and place purchase orders from outside suppliers to support production schedules and new product launches, including:
- Negotiating and forecasting prices and delivery; Monitoring PPV (purchasing price variance)
- Partnering with suppliers to ensure materials meet specifications
- Leading cross-functional teams to resolve obstacles, including issues with non-conforming material, unclear specifications, or vendor capacity constraints
- Analyzing current EW and VMI levels to determine if VMI release is warranted, and communicating inventory and future requirements to suppliers
- Expediting purchase orders as needed, from receiving to production stores
- Participating in the Material Review Board (MRB) for supplier-related issues and collaborating on quality dispositions
- Evaluating and monitoring equipment/assets acquisition through CPA process

- Bachelor's Degree in a related field, with 5 years of relevant experience; experience in purchasing or production control required
- Master's Degree or equivalent preferred

- Knowledge of Edwards policies, procedures, and guidelines related to purchasing and production control
