MGK is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer with a strong background in chemical manufacturing procurement. This role drives strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and vendor management to ensure uninterrupted, cost-effective operations. Key strengths include supply chain expertise, budget management, and ERP proficiency, with a strong understanding of industry regulations and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers while ensuring compliance and cost efficiency.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance, resolving issues proactively.
• Mitigate supply chain risks through alternative sourcing and safety stock strategies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, R&D, and QA to align procurement with business needs.
• Monitor and support budget planning through cost analysis and forecasting.
• Drive process improvements in procurement and supply chain performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field required.
• Experience with planning and/or logistics preferred.
• 5+ years in purchasing for process or chemical manufacturing.
• ERP experience (Ross, Aptean, SAP, MS Dynamics); Excel and Power BI preferred.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to multitask and collaborate cross-functionally.

Additional Requirements:

• Position is full-time, onsite in Brooklyn Park, MN
• Annual salary range: $85,000 - $95,000 (commensurate with experience and qualifications).
