Job summary

INDOT is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to operate at the enterprise level, performing comprehensive IT and data systems analysis to support agency-wide strategic and operational needs.

The role reports to the Business Systems Analysis Manager on the Digital Transformation team and focuses on building strong business relationships, translating business objectives to IT requirements, and leading cross-functional initiatives to achieve interoperable, high-quality technology solutions

Qualifications

• Experience as a business analyst, consultant, or similar role in technology or government.
• 8+ years in business analysis and problem solving in a consulting or project setting.
• 8+ years cultivating and managing business relationships with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong technical, written, and oral communications skills across audiences.
• Business requirements and user story creation and documentation.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Salesforce platform and eliciting/documenting requirements.
• Salesforce Certified Business Analyst Certification.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

TheSenior Business Systems Analyst operates at the enterprise level, performing comprehensive IT and data systems analysis to support agency-wide strategic and operational needs.

Thisposition reports directly to the Business Systems Analysis Manager on the Digital Transformation team and is responsible for:

• - Develop andmaintain strong business relationships to effectively present technology and data-driven solutions that address critical organizational challenges.
• - Serve as the business relationship manager for specialized functional/business areas, providing strategic guidance and leadership to drive effective organizational change.
• - Build strongpartnerships with IT and data practitioners, including the Data Governance Manager, IT Project Managers, and QA Testers, to develop detailed, high-quality requirements that enable teams to deliver effective technology and data solutions for business areas.
• - Serve as thebridge between business needs and technical teams, translating complex technology and data concepts for the business while conveying business objectives and requirements to IT and the Digital Transformation division.
• - Lead effortsto reengineer systems and enhance quality and efficiency by identifying root causes and breaking down silos across business areas to drive effective, integrated solutions.
• - Collaboratewith cross-functional teams to plan and advance full interoperability across the INDOT's systems, data, and processes.
• - Documentcomprehensive business and user requirements with clear, precise tech-to-business translation to prevent defects during testing and ensure all solution areas are fully identified without gaps or breaks.
• - Planadvanced integrations at both the enterprise and detailed levels, conducting thorough research and strategic planning within governance frameworks to ensure complete, well-developed requirements.
• - Supportdigital-transformation strategic planning while helping lead culture change as a key driver within INDOT's Digital Transformation Team.
• - Manageexpectations across customers, peers, vendors, and leadership to ensure alignment and smooth delivery of solutions.
• - Followestablished governance practices and actively promote their adoption across the organization.
