Job summary

Amazon Advertising is seeking a Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer to join the Self-Service Support team in New York. You will design backend datasets, build dashboards, and run ML analyses to influence targeting strategies and product KPIs.

Collaborate with product managers and engineers to scale reporting and automation for broad stakeholder use. The ideal candidate has extensive SQL experience, proficiency with AWS technologies, and a strong foundation in statistics and data mining.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional or military experience.
• 5+ years of SQL experience.
• 1+ years of SQL, ETL or Oracle experience.
• 1+ years of processing large, multi-TB datasets from multiple sources experience.
• 1+ years of performing statistical analysis experience.
• 1+ years of developing automated reporting experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets.
• Experience with AWS technologies.
• Experience with scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
• Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining

Amazon Advertising is looking for a curious and resourceful Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to join the Self-Service Support team. Our team ensures that advertisers using our applications can answer their own questions or solve their own problems whenever possible through Help content, and have an easy path to contact Amazon when it’s not possible. The BIE will build critical backend datasets and related business reporting to measure opportunities and performance of our support products. They will also use ML analysis to inform our in-application Help targeting strategy.

• Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
• Experience with AWS technologies
• Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
