Job summary

Tempus is seeking a data analytics leader to own design, development and administration of advanced dashboards and BI reporting. You will gather requirements with cross-functional teams and deliver analytic solutions into production.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, perform deep-dive analyses with lab and operations teams, build data views for self-service reporting, and contribute to data governance to ensure integrity across distributed systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, business administration, finance, economics, mathematics, operations research, marketing or similar
  • 5+ years of experience developing data sets for analysis use-cases
  • 5+ years of experience with direct stakeholder management and ownership of full lifecycle of analytics/data projects and presenting analysis results to stakeholders
  • 5+ years report-development and data visualization experience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, etc.)
  • 1+ year of experience leveraging Agentic workflows (Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf).
  • Advanced SQL skills for querying and analysis of large, complex datasets
  • Must work well in a team environment and be able to partner with both business and technical team members and translate technical language to the non-technical need
  • Creative problem solver, ability to handle multiple projects, and strong work ethic needed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized and systematic, superb attention to detail
  • Able to complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy and an eye towards process improvement
  • Persistent and resilient person who thrives in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

  • Expert knowledge of database/data modeling concepts, SQL skills, proficiency in query performance tuning, and desire to share knowledge with others


CHI: $95,000 - $135,000 #LI-Hybrid #Li-HR1


The expected salary range may vary for other locations. Actual salary may vary based on qualifications and experience. Tempus offers a full range of benefits, which may include incentive compensation, restricted stock units, medical and other benefits depending on the position.
