Connection is seeking a Sr Business Integration Analyst EDI to drive complex system integrations across EDI, API, and ERP platforms. Remote option from NH; you will collaborate with customers and internal teams to define requirements and deliver scalable solutions.

You will map business needs to technical specs, support agile delivery, and ensure quality through QA activities. The role emphasizes effective communication, project management, and driving improvements in distribution and e-commerce

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML) and EDI documents mapping/testing.
• Experience with APIs (GET, POST, PATCH, DELETE) and JSON vs databases.
• Ability to present to diverse audiences including customers and management.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications for EDI integrations.
• Experience with ERP systems (JD Edwards EnterpriseOne preferred) and EDI integration.
• Advanced MS Office skills for creating presentations and documents.
• Knowledge of Agile development and writing user stories.
• Understanding of distribution business processes.
• Bug tracking and testing knowledge.
• Familiarity with cloud-based/SaaS platforms.
• Prior experience in supply chain, finance, or e-commerce integration projects.

Responsabilités

• Understand business needs and identify opportunities via joint analysis of systems and processes.
• Drive development of new integrated processes by working with external customers and managing IT projects.
• Gather, analyze, and translate requirements into functional specifications.
• Produce artifacts for the agile SDLC: requirements, specs, process maps, project plans, test cases.
• Provide root cause analysis and communicate system interdependencies.
• Explain and communicate interdependencies of various systems to stakeholders.
• Escalate risks and manage change requests submitted to the Helpdesk.
• Support Development in Agile/Scrum environment and QA testing.
• Collaborate with customers on system integrations and process improvements.

Working under minimal supervision of IT Manager or Director, referring only exceptional problems and issues for management review or approval, the Sr Business Integration Analyst manages project requirements, timelines, and technical integrations from various platforms external to the core systems at Connection or through Connection’s EDI platform. Works with customers and/or suppliers in support of new or revised systems, API, cXML or EDI integrations, as well as internal customers and stakeholders for new business solutions requirements gathering. Works closely, when necessary, with the applications and platform development teams, product management, and applications support for identifying systems, platform, and business process improvements for both internal and external customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Understands the business needs and identifies areas of opportunity through joint analysis of systems and processes.
• Drives the development of new systems and integrated processes, by working closely with external customers and managing projects in Information Technology.
• Gathers, analyzes, and translates business requirements into functional and systems specifications.
• Produces artifacts that support the agile SDLC process: requirements, specifications, process maps, project plans, mockups and test cases.
• Provides root cause analysis of difficult problems and their solutions.
• Understands and conveys to others the interdependencies of various systems.
• Resolves issues or escalates risk to next level of management.
• Manages customer requests for change which are submitted to the Helpdesk.
• Supports the Development team in organizing work based on an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Supports the Quality Assurance team as required for unit and/or regression testing.
• Works with customers in support of systems integrations.
• Identifies application, platform, and business process improvements for both internal and external customers.

Requirements

• One or both of the following:
  • In-depth knowledge of EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML), experience working with EDI documents (including 810, 850, 855, 856, etc.) and experience mapping, troubleshooting and testing EDI documents with various trading partners.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience working with APIs (GET, POST, PATCH, DELETE) and comparing JSON output to underlying relational databases.
• Ability to present to a diverse audience which may include end customers and partners, and all levels of management.
• Proven experience distilling broad customer requirements into complex technical specifications, as it pertains to EDI integrations.
• Experience with ERP systems (JD Edwards EnterpriseOne preferred) and integration via EDI.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills for creating presentations, spreadsheets and other documents.
• Knowledgeable of requirement hierarchy in the Agile Development Methodology and skilled in writing user stories.
• Understanding of business processes in a distribution business environment.
• Working knowledge of software bug tracking/reporting best practices and tools.
• Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
• Understand business-impact of technology problems.
• Excellent written communication skills and comfort ability to compose professional business communications via email, letter, and proposals.
• Excellent verbal communication skills with ability to present professional demonstrations.
• Experience in working with business customers as well as application developers.

Additional preferred competencies or preferred qualifications, if any:

• Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and SaaS-based business applications.
• Prior experience in supply chain, finance, or e-commerce integration projects.
• Previous experience working with Boomi EDI/B2B management or other integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Informatica).
• Adaptable with ability to switch tasks based on shifting priorities.
• Practical experience in Technology Resell, B2B, or eCommerce industry.
• MBA or MS in Information Systems is highly desired.
• Project Management and Process Improvement training is desired.
