Fractal Analytics Inc. is seeking a Sr Business Analyst / Senior Decision Scientist specializing in insurance analytics.

This remote role supports EST hours from the United States and involves advanced analytics, modeling, and executive storytelling to drive decisions in underwriting and marketing. You will partner with underwriting teams, shape business rules with predictive analytics, translate insights into dashboards, and mentor peers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in analytics, economics, statistics, data science or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in analytics, decision science, or senior business/data analyst roles.
• Insurance domain experience (preferred), P&C / Personal Lines (Home & Auto).
• Hands-on with advanced and predictive analytics applied to business problems.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with large datasets.
• Python proficiency for analytics and insight generation.
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or MicroStrategy.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in analytics, decision science, or senior business/data analyst roles

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience modernizing rule-based underwriting or decision systems
• Familiarity with Snowflake and cloud-based data platforms
• Executive reporting and strategic performance analysis experience
• Ability to mentor junior analysts and promote best practices in data storytelling and analytics.
• Understanding of enterprise data governance and reporting standards.
• Active use of AI tools such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot for analytics productivity.

Pay

Pay: The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $125,000 - $135,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus for the current performance period.
