About The Role

As a CBRE Building Sr. Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring complex building system operations and the performance of various areas including electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling, building automation systems such as DeltaV and Metasys. Understanding of NEC 500 hazardous area classification is required.

This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function, supporting maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do

• Assign work orders, estimate time and materials, and maintain inventory of supplies and tools.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire, life safety, and control systems, ensuring standards are met.
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and safety directives.
• Develop and oversee energy management programs to optimize system efficiency.
• Supervise and inspect work by contractors, and respond to inquiries or complaints.
• Implement preventive maintenance to extend equipment lifespan and perform emergency repairs.
• Review and approve inspections of fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing systems to ensure operational and environmental standards.
• Apply advanced knowledge to improve procedures and departmental objectives.

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 5-8 years of relevant experience; experience and education may be combined. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Universal CFC certification required.
• Experience with NEC 500 Hazardous Area Classification.
• PLC/Programming experience is a plus.
• Experience with DeltaV or Metasys systems is a plus.
• Additional certifications in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or related fields are advantageous.
• Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting over 50 lbs., climbing, and standing for extended periods.
• Innovative mindset for developing new methods.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong organizational and mathematical skills.
