Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Sr. Biologist based in Sacramento, CA. The position is open to remote work.

Job Summary:

This role supports the preparation of regulatory permit applications, environmental compliance, procurement of mitigation, and review of reports and design plans. The candidate will represent the client in meetings with regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities:

1. Review and guide permit applications, technical reports, and environmental documents related to natural resources.
2. Participate in project meetings and review design documents.
3. Provide guidance on environmental and permit compliance.
4. Interface with clients, project teams, regulatory agencies, and NGOs.
5. Prepare documentation for mitigation procurement.

Minimum Requirements:

• BA/BS degree + 6 years of relevant experience or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in biology or related field.
• 7+ years experience in biological studies and environmental assessments, including surveys and monitoring in California.
• 10+ years focused on environmental permitting and approvals.
• Knowledge of applicable environmental laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with biological surveys, reports, and regulatory coordination.

Additional Information:

• Travel, sponsorship, and relocation are available.
• Salary range: $81,000 - $149,000.
