Job summary

American Society of Interior Designers seeks a Sr. BIM Designer to support multiple offices on large-scale electrical construction projects across the country. The role emphasizes BIM modeling, coordination, and production of construction documents.

You will use Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and ACC to deliver clash-free drawings, BOMs, and field-ready documentation, collaborating with engineers, designers, and trade partners.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Design Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of electrical BIM/design experience in a construction or consulting environment.
  • Proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, ACC, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality 2D and 3D electrical models using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Create construction documents, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and equipment layouts.
  • Coordinate with project teams, design professionals, and trade partners to identify and resolve clashes.
  • Produce detailed installation and coordination drawings for field operations.
  • Conduct field surveys and document existing site conditions when necessary.
  • Create prefab drawings, fabrication details, and bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Support electrical power and lighting layouts, circuiting, switching, and design efforts.
  • Respond to construction administration requests and drawing revisions throughout project life cycles.

  • Data center, commercial, industrial, or mission-critical construction experience.
  • Experience supporting prefabrication and constructability initiatives.
Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $100,000 - $110,000+ (depending on experience)
