About You:
We are looking for a motivated Sr. Back-End Software Engineer to join our Application Development squad. The squad’s goal is to create, enhance and maintain a real-time syndicated loan data platform. You will work closely with seasoned technology leaders and colleagues with diverse experience in a dynamic, agile environment. You must have experience in designing, developing, and deploying secure, performant, and scalable services. You must also have a passion for data and a strong understanding of cloud technologies and streaming data pipelines. You will play a key role in all facets of the data platform including development, testing, deployment, and support.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and own back-end components for the application.
2. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
3. Engage in all phases of SDLC, from ideation to implementation to QA and deployment.
4. Collaborate with front-end engineers to deliver high-quality and responsive interfaces.
5. Participate in code reviews and contribute to our back-end best practices and standards.
6. Build the technical foundation and culture for the Application Development squad.
7. Troubleshoot and debug issues with the platform as they arise.

Must Have:

1. BS or BA in Computer Science or related field.
2. 7+ years of software development experience with Java (Spring/Spring Boot).
3. Adeptness at using build and development tools (Git, Maven/Gradle, Artifactory).
4. Knowledge of REST APIs and GraphQL.
5. Experience working with databases (SQL and NoSQL).
6. Proficiency in state machines and stream processing pipelines.
7. Ability to partner with multi-functional teams and pivot quickly.
8. Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Curiosity and motivation to learn.

Nice to Have:

1. Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
2. Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
3. Competence in end-to-end testing frameworks (Selenium, TestNG).
4. Public Cloud experience, especially Azure.
5. History of constructing enterprise solutions within the financial domain.
6. Knowledge of Syndicated Loans or Leveraged Finance.
7. Familiarity with Blockchain (DAML, Solidity).
8. Ability to onboard and mentor new team members.

Salary: $160,000 - $200,000 a year
