Description:
Client: Mars Incorporated
Location: Plano, TX (Remote work accepted from anywhere in US)
Rate: $75/hour

Job Duties:

1. 7-10+ years of software development experience, focusing on backend systems with broad experience in any tech stack.
2. Strong proficiency in Python (3+ years of hands-on experience preferred).
3. Extensive experience in API development, including building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
4. Solid experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server).
5. Experience with cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure & Databricks.
6. Expertise with Python frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
7. Understanding of API security best practices (OAuth 2.0, JWT).
8. Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools.
9. Proficiency in automated testing (pytest).
10. Ability to create comprehensive API documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI.
11. Knowledge of Medallion Architecture.

Additional Qualifications (Nice to Have):

• PySpark for data processing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps.
• Knowledge of Databricks.
