Compensation : $75.00 - $100.00 / hour, based on experience and credentials
Vaco is seeking a highly experienced Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer to assist with the implementation of Microsoft Fabric for our client, a healthcare organization handling PHI data. This consulting project will be fully remote, lasting approximately 2-3 months with potential for extension. Candidates must pass a criminal background check and drug screen, and be legally eligible to work in the United States, as sponsorship is not available.
Project Overview
The client initially built their data warehouse in AWS using Redshift, but faced performance issues leading to migration to Azure. Their implementation with Synapse Analytics has also encountered performance and cost challenges. They have decided to implement Microsoft Fabric, a Spark-based platform, as a new solution. The Azure Data Architect / Fabric SME is leading the project, seeking a hands-on Sr. Azure Infrastructure Engineer to help determine optimal deployment areas for Fabric Capacity, secure deployment, and related tasks.
Additional responsibilities include:
Understanding Entra ID Conditional Access Policies to plan and configure access groups for Fabric resources.
Having visibility into the USAP Azure cloud and on-premises network setup, making necessary adjustments for Fabric deployment.
Deploying services such as:
Candidates should have experience with Fabric implementation, infrastructure, networking, and security.
