Organization Overview:

Lilly is constructing an advanced manufacturing facility for API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) molecules in Lebanon, IN. This facility represents Lilly's largest investment in manufacturing capacity, supporting current and future products, including new modalities. This is a unique opportunity to join the startup team for a greenfield manufacturing site, helping to build processes and facilities for successful GMP manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure safety in all operations, continuously seeking improvements and ensuring safe design and operation of equipment, including automation systems.
2. Support and enhance site utilities automated systems by collaborating with colleagues.
3. Assess solutions and review performance to ensure proper and efficient operation of automated systems.
4. Design and implement utilities automation tools for monitoring and reporting to manage utilities operations.
5. Support automation strategies for integrating utilities equipment (Chillers, Cooling Towers, etc.) with main monitoring systems (DeltaV, PI).
6. Assist in daily operations of utilities automated systems, troubleshooting, and event management.
7. Provide feedback and solutions to improve system performance.
8. Offer technical coaching and consultation to site engineers, technicians, and operators.
9. Support projects and integration of new equipment/technologies impacting utilities infrastructure.
10. Stay updated on external trends and evaluate new technologies for application at Lilly.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Technology, or related field
• Minimum 5 years experience in automation control, process control, utilities automation, or environmental control systems
• Willingness to work on shift rotations

Additional Preferences:

• Proven safety awareness
• Expertise in automation platforms (preferably DeltaV and Rockwell Automation Systems)
• Strong problem-solving skills in measurements, control systems, and data integration
• Experience with solvent recovery, cryo-condenser, building management systems, wastewater management, and purified water systems is a plus

Other skills include excellent communication, teamwork, GMP knowledge, and familiarity with Microsoft Operating Systems.

Compensation for this role ranges from $63,000 to $165,000, depending on experience, education, skills, and location. Benefits include bonuses, 401(k), pension, health coverage, flexible spending, life insurance, leave benefits, and well-being programs. Lilly reserves the right to modify these programs as needed.
