Material is seeking a Senior Associate, Insights (Technology Industry) for a hybrid role based near our offices in Los Angeles, Austin, or New York City. The position supports day-to-day insights engagements with an emphasis on quality, client impact, and growth within the tech sector.

You will develop questionnaires, manage field operations, run data and QC tasks, and help create influential deliverables to guide clients’ decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is required preferably in Marketing, Business, Economics, Social Sciences, Psychology, Statistics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of market research experience required.
  • Quantitative or Mixed-Methods Insights experience preferred.
  • Experience and understanding of basic concepts of market research.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with drive to impact team and clients.
  • High attention to detail and accountability.
  • Initiative to grow as a manager and leader.

Together, we connect consumer intelligence with customer demand generation to build lasting, profitable relationships.Job DescriptionAs a Senior Associate of Insights, your primary role within the Strategy & Insights team is to provide support and ownership of day-to-day needs associated with medium to high complexity research engagements, leading to high quality delivery of insights and related recommendations for a wide range of clients and categories. We are ideally seeking someone with experience working with clients in the Technology Industry for this role.Specific operations-oriented responsibilities include, but are not limited to, questionnaire development and publishing support, link testing and data QC, field management with internal teams/field partners, data running / tabulation, field management with internal teams/field partners, and addressing quality control issues throughout the project lifecycle.External-oriented responsibilities are focused on creation and support of building deliverables including slide creation, charting and data QC with direct involvement in writing and synthesis.High attention to detail and accuracy, autonomy in self-management, creativity and flexibility is required. Must be able to manage and prioritize multiple competing deadlines and needs with limited senior oversite.Skills required for success include critical thinking, strategic thinking, strong analysis, project management and pattern and problem identification orientation around solutions and point of view (POV).
