This hybrid role is onsite 3 days per week and uses Workday to track candidate activity, HR data, and reporting while supporting policy guidance, audits, and HR operations.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience with at least five years in HR/recruiting.
  • High school diploma with eight years experience, including four years in a related role.
  • Experience with HRIS and regulatory compliance preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate nationwide onboarding activities to ensure a seamless new hire experience for the US Channel business.
  • Prepare and distribute new hire communications and onboarding requirements.
  • Maintain orientation rosters and coordinate onboarding schedules.
  • Support internship recruiting and onsite internship engagement programs.
  • Promote and administer employee referral programs for talent attraction.
  • Conduct and monitor pre-employment background checks and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Manage I-9 completion and reverification processes to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and assist audits and documentation requests.
  • Utilize Workday to track candidate and employee activity, generate reports, and streamline workflows.
  • Provide HR policy guidance and partner with business leaders on day-to-day HR needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Partner with leadership to address HR needs and support organizational objectives.
  • Assist in developing and improving HR procedures, workflows, and systems.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide backup for unemployment claims and HR analytics.

Position Summary

The Sr. Associate, Human Resources, serves as a key partner supporting a broad range of human resources and talent acquisition activities. This role is responsible for coordinating onboarding, recruitment administration, compliance processes, employee transactions, and HR operational support while partnering with leaders and employees across the organization. The incumbent applies strong HR knowledge, sound judgment, and analytical skills to resolve issues, improve processes, and ensure an exceptional employee experience.

This position serves as a trusted resource for employees, hiring managers, and HR partners, providing support across the employee lifecycle while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The role may act as a subject matter expert and mentor to junior team members and is recognized as a knowledgeable resource within the department.

This is a hybrid role, based at our Buffalo, NY, office and is required to be onsite 3 days/week.

Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
  • Coordinate nationwide onboarding activities to ensure a seamless new hire experience for the US Channel business.
  • Prepare and distribute new hire communications, including orientation details, company information, and onboarding requirements.
  • Maintain orientation rosters and partner with training teams to coordinate onboarding schedules.
  • Support internship recruiting initiatives and coordinate onsite internship activities and engagement programs.
  • Promote and administer employee referral programs to support talent attraction efforts.
HR Operations & Compliance
  • Conduct and monitor pre-employment background checks and ensure timely resolution of any issues.
  • Manage I-9 completion and reverification processes, ensuring compliance with federal regulations.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with audits, reporting requirements, and documentation requests.
HR Systems & Data Management
  • Utilize Workday to track candidate and employee activity, generate reports, and streamline workflows.
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of HR data and personnel records.
  • Support system testing, reporting enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Employee & Business Support
  • Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding HR policies, processes, and programs.
  • Partner with business leaders to address day‑to‑day HR needs and support organizational objectives.
  • Provide administrative and operational support across multiple HR functions.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and HR communication efforts.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive employee information.
Team Collaboration & Leadership
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for HR processes, systems, and recruiting operations.
  • Crosstrain and provide backup support for unemployment claims administration and HR analytics activities.
  • Assist in developing and improving HR procedures, workflows, and systems.
  • Act as a lead, mentor, or trainer for less experienced team members as needed.
  • Contribute to HR and talent acquisition projects that enhance organizational effectiveness and employee experience.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of five (5) years of HR, recruiting, or related functional experience; OR
  • High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of eight (8) years of related experience, including four (4) years of position‑specific experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting recruiting, onboarding, or HR operations in a corporate environment.
  • Experience using Workday or similar HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
  • Knowledge of employment laws, compliance requirements, and HR best practices.
  • Experience with EEO, AAP, I-9, and background screening processes.

  • Strong knowledge of HR operations, recruitment administration, onboarding, compliance, and employee support.
  • Advanced organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $56,000.00 - $89,600.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate's primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
