The Senior Associate, HR Controlling FP&A will join the HR & Management Support Function (MSF) Controlling team within RWE Clean Energy's growing Renewables Business. The team includes HR Controlling, MSF Controlling, and IT Controlling. This role primarily focuses on HR Controlling.
- The Senior Associate will handle company-wide FTE and personnel cost monitoring, budgeting, planning, and reporting. This role ensures transparency, strategic alignment, and achievement of company targets related to FTE and personnel costs. It offers direct exposure to RWECE's executive leadership, enabling influence on strategic decisions. The role involves collaboration with HR and leadership as a strategic partner, advising on compensation strategies and workforce initiatives, and driving process improvements. It also provides international exposure through collaboration with German and global entities.
- MSF Controlling oversees overhead costs for support functions, ensuring transparency and cost-effectiveness, acting as a strategic partner and advisor in evaluating improvement measures.
- IT Controlling manages financial performance, budgeting, and planning for RWECE's IT & OT divisions, ensuring strategic alignment and cost efficiency, and serving as a strategic partner and advisor.
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage HR Controlling (FP&A): produce high-quality reports for leadership, analyze FTE and personnel expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support strategic decision-making.
- Financial Planning & Cost Analysis: Develop models and processes for FTE and personnel cost planning, monitor and challenge developments, and provide transparency against budgets and targets.
- Business Support: Work closely with HR and business units to meet reporting and planning needs, identify cost savings, and support HR initiatives with analysis.
- Coordination and Networking: Act as primary contact within RWECE for FTE and personnel expenses, coordinating related topics across the business.
- Management Communication: Engage with senior management and the board, preparing materials and supporting meetings.
- Process Improvement: Implement tools and systems to enhance data handling, quality, and efficiency.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business; advanced degree is a plus.
- At least 5 years of experience in finance-related roles; renewable energy experience is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of SAP, PeopleSoft, Tableau, Power BI is advantageous.
- Leadership, organization, and multitasking skills; self-motivated and goal-oriented.
- Experience with process improvements, business acumen, and change management is a plus.
- Fluent in English; German is a plus.
Salary Range: $95,000 - $142,000 annually in Illinois, based on experience and qualifications.
