Position: Senior Associate, HR Controlling FP&A

Start date: As soon as possible, full-time, permanent

Overview

The Senior Associate, HR Controlling FP&A will be part of the HR & Management Support Function (MSF) Controlling team within RWE Clean Energy's rapidly expanding Renewables Business. The team includes HR Controlling, MSF Controlling, and IT Controlling, with this role focusing on HR Controlling.

Key Responsibilities
  1. HR Controlling: Manage company-wide FTE and personnel cost monitoring, budgeting, planning, and reporting. Ensure transparency and strategic alignment with company targets. Collaborate with HR and leadership as a strategic partner, influencing workforce strategies and initiatives. Support change management and process digitization.
  2. Supporting Functions: MSF Controlling oversees overhead costs; IT Controlling manages IT & OT investments. Both focus on cost transparency, strategic alignment, and providing decision support.
Role Specifics
  • Develop and deliver high-quality reports on FTE and personnel expenses for executive leadership and senior management.
  • Lead financial planning and cost analysis, maintaining models and processes for FTE and personnel costs.
  • Collaborate with business units to meet reporting and planning needs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support HR initiatives.
  • Act as primary contact for FTE and personnel expense topics within RWECE, coordinating with various functions.
  • Prepare materials for management and board meetings, supporting strategic discussions.
  • Implement tools and systems to enhance data quality, process efficiency, and automation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business; advanced degrees are a plus.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in finance, controlling, or consulting. Renewable energy experience is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of SAP, PeopleSoft, Tableau, Power BI is beneficial.
  • Leadership qualities, organization skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus.
Additional Information
