Position Details:
This role is for an Engineer II serving as the Senior Assistant Division Traffic Engineer, located at the Division Seven office in Greensboro, NC. The responsibilities include overseeing the Division 7 traffic signals group, leading staff, applying engineering principles to traffic signal operations and maintenance, conducting traffic investigations, making recommendations, timing signals, assisting in department management, and securing funding for improvements.

Ability to work in extreme temperatures, uneven terrain, emergency situations, inclement weather, and during special events. Proficiency with Windows, email, internet, and Office products. Ability to communicate effectively and establish positive working relationships. The candidate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle.
Possession of a Bachelor's degree in an engineering field from an accredited institution and three (3) years of progressively responsible experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. May require registration as a professional engineer by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors.
