Virginia Housing is seeking a Senior Asset Manager to safeguard a multifamily portfolio through sound financial and physical oversight. The role helps ensure the availability of quality, affordable housing by monitoring property management and coordinating across teams across the Commonwealth.

The position reports to the Innsbrook office in Glen Allen, VA and requires a bachelor’s degree with several years in portfolio/relationship management, plus up to 75% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Several years of experience in portfolio and/or relationship management.
• Strong knowledge of financial analysis, multifamily real estate, and property management practices.
• Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Must be able to inspect the properties by navigating the buildings, stairways, and grounds.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Up to 75% of travel is required.

Overview

This important role will protect Virginia Housing’s security in properties in the multifamily portfolio through the effective financial and physical oversight of the properties and their operations. It promotes the availability of quality, affordable housing through the effective monitoring of the properties and their management. The successful candidate will support a portfolio of properties within the state of Virginia.

To be successful in this role you must possess:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Several years of experience in portfolio and/or relationship management.

The ideal candidate would also have experience in:

• Industry certifications such as CAM, CPM, or CHAM-AMS

This position will report to our Innsbrook office in Glen Allen, VA.

Hiring Range: $95,000 – $128,000

A background and motor vehicle check will be performed as a condition of employment.
