Position: Senior Architect - Healthcare

Lawrence Group, a building design, development, and project delivery firm headquartered in St. Louis with offices in Austin, Florida, and New York, is looking for Architects to assist with healthcare projects in our St. Louis and Florida offices. With over 170 employees, we offer architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, furniture procurement, and graphic design services to a diverse range of clients including healthcare, housing, hospitality, academic, and retail sectors.

This role involves designing and delivering innovative healthcare facilities that focus on patient care, staff efficiency, and operational excellence. Candidates should be capable of leading all project phases from conceptualization to construction administration, ensuring high standards of design quality, functionality, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead planning and design for healthcare projects such as hospitals, clinics, and medical offices.
  2. Collaborate with clients and interdisciplinary teams to define project goals and requirements.
  3. Develop innovative, evidence-based, and sustainable design concepts incorporating healthcare technology advancements.
  4. Prepare and present proposals, feasibility studies, and documentation to clients and authorities.
  5. Oversee detailed drawings, specifications, and construction documents, ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
  6. Mentor junior staff and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources.
  7. Conduct site visits during construction to monitor progress and resolve issues.
  8. Build relationships with clients, consultants, and vendors to ensure collaboration and satisfaction.
  9. Stay updated with trends and incorporate new practices into workflows.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's or Master’s degree in architecture from an accredited institution.
  2. Licensed Architect with 6+ years of healthcare design experience preferred.
  3. Proven success in delivering complex healthcare projects.
  4. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam Revu; knowledge of Enscape, Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, InDesign is a plus.
  5. Knowledge of healthcare facility codes and standards (e.g., FGI, ADA).
  6. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  7. Commitment to design excellence, sustainability, and innovation.
  8. Membership in professional organizations like AIA is desirable.
