Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Sr. Application Support Analyst for a 6-month contract-to-hire role with our client in Minneapolis, MN. This role is 100% remote.

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Support Analyst with extensive experience in application support, infrastructure management, security implementation, and IT service management. The ideal candidate will be proactive, capable of collaborating with vendors and internal teams to ensure robust solutions, and able to provide strategic recommendations for infrastructure platforms.

This role will support our Home Delivery pharmacy operations team, including applications and systems used across multiple sites. The individual must thrive in a highly matrixed environment involving business leadership, IT leadership, vendors, and multiple stakeholders. Effective communication with both business and IT leadership is essential.

Responsibilities

1. Application Support:
   • Manage application servers including installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
   • Ensure optimal performance and reliability of applications, resolving issues related to response times, resource usage, and downtime.
   • Understand and manage application integrations, involving relevant stakeholders.
2. Security Implementation:
   • Collaborate on security needs, managing certificates, encryption, vulnerabilities, patches, and updates.
   • Implement security policies effectively across applications.
   • Coordinate with vendors and security teams on access management and authentication policies.
3. Infrastructure Management:
   • Evaluate and recommend infrastructure platform upgrades.
4. Application Integration:
   • Analyze application interconnections and develop tools for seamless integration.
5. IT Service Management (ITSM):
   • Adhere to client policies in Incident, Problem, Change, Security, and Disaster Recovery management.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in application support, server management, and databases, including Java application servers like Wildfly and SQL.
• Strong understanding of security protocols and user access management.
• Experience in infrastructure evaluation and development of supporting tools.
• Experience with ITSM practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Windows Servers, Java application servers, SQL Server, and desktop support.
• Ability to understand and communicate complex application and system interactions, often as the sole SME.
• Experience in a pharmacy environment or the ability to quickly learn pharmacy business operations.

Compensation

Hourly W2 pay rate: $60.00-75.00/hr.
