Job Summary:
We are seeking an Sr. Applications Specialist of Solid Round and Insert Cutting Tools. A successful candidate will be responsible for account management and generating new opportunities. The main tasks involve understanding customer needs in metalworking, educating customers, prospects, and distributors about GWS Tool Group's products and capabilities. This is a senior role requiring in-depth knowledge and experience. The role involves using best practices and knowledge of business issues to improve products or services.

Responsibilities:
- Scheduling appointments and meeting existing customers to review applications and identify opportunities.
- Planning and conducting sales presentations with customers regularly.
- Liaising with customers regarding pricing, service, and product launches.
- Developing prospect accounts and increasing revenue through partnerships with distributors.
- Updating customers on product modifications and enhancements.
- Attending departmental and training meetings to stay informed on new products and procedures.
- Maintaining professionalism and positive company image.
- Attending conferences and trade shows effectively.
- Using marketing data and sales tools to maximize effectiveness.
- Organizing joint sales calls with distributors.
- Preparing sales and marketing reports and managing expenses.
- Updating customer accounts and providing product quotes with support from inside sales.
- Following up on leads with complete customer profiles.
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years experience in tooling and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to assist customers with processing parts and application of tools.
- Strong background in Milling, Turning, Grooving (minimum 5 years).
- Experience in job shops is highly regarded.
- Knowledge of speeds and feeds for materials.
- Experience designing special tools is a plus.
- Experience from drawing to finished product processing.
- Proven ability to develop new customers; account management experience.
- Degree in sales, marketing, or related field preferred.
