Nationwide Technology in Columbus, OH seeks a Sr. Analyst, Technology Engineer to provide hands-on platform administration, integration support, and AWS-based engineering for data governance suites.
You will handle automation, access management, and release awareness to ensure platform availability and security. The role emphasizes collaboration across engineering, product, security, and data governance teams, with in-office presence twice weekly in Columbus.

This role follows a hybrid schedule and requires in-office presence in our Columbus OH two days per week (Wednesday and Thursdays). Candidates must be based within a commutable distance to Columbus, Ohio.
Data Dynamos provides the operational backbone for Nationwide’s data governance platforms, including Alation, Anomalo, MANTA, and Semarchy. The team is responsible for platform stability, upgrades, issue resolution, monitoring, documentation, security activities, and day-to-day customer support. These capabilities are essential to keeping the platforms reliable and available for associates who depend on trusted data, metadata, and lineage services. The Sr. Analyst, Technology Engineer role is a key technical support position for these suites of tools. The role provides hands-on platform administration, connector and integration support, automation, release awareness, access management, and AWS-based engineering support. These responsibilities are directly tied to the availability, maintainability, and secure operation of the platform.

Reports to a Technology Engineering Manager or Technology Product Manager.
Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems or a related field are preferred.
Technology certifications or designations are not required, but encouraged (i.e., AWS, Azure, scripting and development languages, delivery methods, security).
Two or more years of experience developing and implementing integrated solutions. Experience in testing and debugging integrated solutions. Understanding of system management processes and tools. Understanding of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and package solutions.
Strong communication skills and knowledge of planning, management and execution of the Accelerated Solutions Delivery framework are needed. Information Security acumen, ability to influence, negotiate, and set priorities are also needed. Insurance or financial services industry knowledge is a plus.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
