This onsite role in California requires active DoD Secret clearance and strong leadership in IPT environments. The role emphasizes budget management, proposal support, and execution of material program plans across the product

Raytheon is seeking an experienced professional with a strong and proven successful background in Supply Chain and Program Management to fill a critical Material Program Manager (MPM) within the AFS suite of programs. The Material Program Manager will report directly to the AFS Supply Chain Management Lead. The manager will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of supply chain strategies, material program and supplier management plans, supporting capture/proposal and design-to-cost initiatives throughout all phases of the product life cycle. The manager will be the catalyst for program execution of the Supply Chain Strategy and activities including ensuring an appropriate budget, adequate resources, managing schedule, and compliance to requirements.

What You Will Do
  • Advise the Supply Chain Management Lead as well as the Program Management Office on material strategies, plans and supplier risk mitigation activities.
  • Responsible for supporting the development, coordination and execution of all program material strategies, supply chain objectives, and enterprise objectives Involvement and early supplier involvement that is focused on strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Support Supply Chain proposal activities including task descriptions and basis of estimates that support price to win (PTW) targets.
  • Support the development and execution of material program plans (MPP)Establish Material Sales Forecasts for assigned programs.
  • Support the development and execution of risk/opportunity plans to meet program objectives.
  • Balance strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs.
  • Functionally with Engineering, Quality and Operations to create common schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP)Monitor performance metrics and proactively act to address program and functional issues.
  • This role will require you to be onsite in our California EL, facility.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience.
  • Experienced leader communicating and presenting to all levels of Management and senior leadership.
  • Experience in material forecasting and managing budgets.
  • Experience in Integrated Product Team (IPT)/Cross functional teams, including leading an IPT.
  • Active and transferable Secret clearance is required. U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance prior to start date.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience with government regulations (i.e., FAR/DFAR, ITAR/EAR, TINA, etc.)
  • Experience with Design to Cost and Cost Reduction Initiative activities.
  • Experience with developing and analyzing performance metrics as well as experience proactively addressing associated program and functional issues.
  • Experience with Proposal and New Business Capture.
  • Experience with program start up in a development environment.

The salary range for this role is 145,600 USD - 276,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
