Job summary

RTX in El Segundo, CA, seeks an experienced Materials / Supply Chain professional to manage material flow, planning, and procurement for complex programs. The role emphasizes MRP/ERP to support production schedules and on-site operations.

The position requires a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance; Kinaxis/CMES experience and MS Office proficiency are highly valued.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience or an advanced degree in a related field.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
  • Experience in manufacturing, Logistics, Supply Chain planning, material tracking or related environments.
  • Experience with Kinaxis, CMES or similar software.
  • Experience with MS Office 360 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook/Teams).

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and coordinate program requirements to ensure materials/services flow to meet contract requirements.
  • Release purchase requisitions to procure materials based on MRP and inventory position.
  • Prepare work orders based on master production schedule and priorities.
  • Provide status of work in progress, material availability, and production issues.
  • Confirm material supply and demand daily.
  • Resolve material shortages and issues with program support staff.
  • Report on and troubleshoot MRP system exceptions and take corrective actions.
  • Conduct inventory checks and reconcile the system.
  • Move material to/from warehouse, factory, pack/ship, or other areas as needed.
  • Assist in achieving KPIs for the assigned programs and lead weekly meetings.

What You Will Do
  • Evaluating and coordinating program requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials and services to meet contract requirements
  • Releasing purchase requisitions to procure materials based on MRP, master production schedule, and inventory position
  • Preparing work order releases based on a master production schedule, shop capacity and program priorities
  • Providing status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed
  • Working daily to confirm material supply and demand
  • Working with program support staff to resolve material shortages and other issues impacting product build
  • Reporting on and troubleshooting MRP system generated exceptions and taking corrective actions
  • Conducting inventory checks and reconciling the system
  • Performing movement of material to and from the warehouse, factory, pack/ship, and or other areas as needed.
  • Accountable for achieving organizational Key Performance Metrics (KPIs) for the assigned program areas
  • Support and or lead weekly program and factory meetings.

This role is an onsite position in El Segundo, CA.

Qualifications
  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
  • Experience in manufacturing, Logistics, Supply Chain, planning, scheduling, material tracking, or other production driven environments.
  • Qualifications We Prefer Experience with Special Program Access.
  • Experience with Kinaxis, CMES or similar software.
  • Experience in material planning and order execution.
  • Experience with MS Office 360 (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook/Teams).

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 75,800 USD - 144,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
