Job summary

The Walt Disney Company is seeking a Sr Analyst, Marketing Data Product, to join the Performance Marketing arm of the Enterprise Media and Marketing team in Burbank, CA.

You will help deliver the product roadmap, focusing on data collection, cleaning, and insights tools, building data pipelines, and data-driven web applications that blend advertising with analytics.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of related work experience in Data Engineering/Analytics, Ad Tech/Media Analytics, or technical Product Management.
  • Strong experience with SQL and working with complex datasets.
  • Experience with workflow tracking or project management tools such as Airtable.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain product roadmaps for a small suite of Performance Marketing tools focusing on data ingestion, validation, and insights.
  • Be the subject matter expert and owner for an array of detailed tables and collections.
  • Communicate and coordinate product releases and upgrades with external teams.
  • Write and approve technical user stories for software engineers on our internal team; coordinate efforts between different groups to ensure alignment and delivery.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to execute improvements to existing processes and tools.
  • Write SQL queries to verify data quality and ensure dashboards deliver value for campaigns.
  • Coordinate with UX/UI teams on wireframes and design elements; translate requirements to engineers.
  • Leverage AI and LLMs to build prototypes and tools in collaboration with the broader team.

If you did, it was likely because of the detailed planning and execution of The Walt Disney Company’s Enterprise Media and Marketing team…and if you didn’t – it’s probably because our targeting is that good.

We are looking for a Sr Analyst, Marketing Data Product, to join the Performance Marketing arm of this media team. We are an integrated, cross-functional team of marketers, software engineers, data scientists, and analysts who help the Media team execute highly data-driven marketing campaigns and tactics.

As a Sr Analyst, you will facilitate the delivery of our product roadmap, focusing on our data collection, cleaning, and insights tools. You will help create novel data pipelines, complex data science workflows, and elegant web applications that blend the art of advertising at Disney with the science of our data-backed insights.

This role is unique – our team is embedded directly within the Disney media team. We're aligned, mission-driven, and free to move fast and innovate towards our goals. You'll tackle the challenges of executing and optimizing precise paid media strategies, using the latest technologies and tools. The role reports to a Manager, Marketing Data Product and is based in Burbank, CA.

You Will / Responsibilities
  • Maintain product roadmaps for a small suite of Performance Marketing tools focusing on data ingestion, validation, and insights
  • Live and breathe our data – be the subject matter expert and owner for an array of detailed tables and collections
  • Communicate and coordinate product releases and upgrades with external teams
  • Write and approve technical user stories for software engineers on our internal team; coordinate efforts between different groups to ensure alignment and delivery
  • Collaborate with software engineers to execute improvements to existing processes and tools (and innovate by creating new ones)
  • Ensure that existing media analytics tools, platforms, processes, and dashboards continue to deliver value for our campaigns; write SQL queries to verify data quality
  • Facilitate any work with UX/UI teams on requirements for wireframes and design elements; translate functional requirements to software engineers
  • Leverage AI and LLMs to get out of your comfort zone – you will build your own prototypes and tools in collaboration with the broader team
You Will Have / Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of related work experience in Data Engineering/Analytics, Ad Tech/Media Analytics, or technical Product Management
  • Strong experience with SQL and working with complex datasets
  • Experience with workflow tracking or project management tools such (e.g., Airtable)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and meet deadlines
  • Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of ad platforms, including Google Ads, Meta, Innovid, The Trade Desk, and similar
  • Experience working with data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI
  • Familiarity with the Python programming language
Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject areas, such as Computer Science or Business Analytics or equivalent work experience

Preferred Education

Master’s degree in relevant subject area

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $117,500.00 to $157,500.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
